Somebody help me!
One of the biggest misconceptions people make when they see me is that I am into makeup and love trying on clothes. Both could not be farther from the truth. In fact, to be in the modeling industry I am one of the few women who don't delve into her makeup bag to create the fanciest cat or smokey eye.
Ok, wait, maybe you're like me and wondering what's a cat eye. I think, not 100% sure, that the cat eye is achieved when you take the eyeliner and create an extension. Again, I don't really know the professional answer but if you do, you're already doing better than me.

I know that my eye makeup looks different when I apply the lashes first because they create some sort of outline that makes it logically correct to me. I know I look like a troubled goth when I apply black eye shadow. I scared myself so bad once doing this I threw the black eye shadow away.
I'm pretty sure my makeup artist Gregory Lawrence is cringing right now. Greg, on many occasions, has saved the day. The latest save sealed the deal for me.
I was in a serious state of panic and it was my fault for not booking Greg when I got the late call back. Greg talked and text
me through an emergency self application while driving to set for filming a major project. Do you sense the urgency just from reading this?

Side Note: Do not text and drive.
Now back to Greg. He's level of professionalism and candor was able to guide me through the process resulting in a ton of kudos, a high five from the production team and one "you just stand out from everybody else" while on set.
Before I was a model I was a woman who knew nothing about makeup. Now I just happen to be a model who still knows very little about makeup.
My point, makeup can be an intimidating task for those of us less skilled and unfamiliar with color palettes, brush applications, eyebrow arches, and things of the sort.
Am I the only one who cannot for the life of me figure out how high on the lid I should apply my shadow? Am I the only woman who struggles trying to find the right colors for my eyes? Please tell me I'm not alone.
Well, I'm taking control of my cat eyes and getting me a makeup life.
I can no longer sit on the sidelines and watch while others create artistic eyes.
I will be learning from one of the best in Charlotte. Thats right. Greg teaches basic makeup application for women like me; like us.
Don't get me wrong. For events, photo shoots, and things of the sort, Greg will be there with me.
BUT..... there comes a time in every woman's life where she examines her bucket list and decides its time to mark that "I can't ________" off the list.
What's your ________?
For me, today I've decided to conquer makeup. Maybe next month I'll finally get to mark swimming off the list.

Thanks Jeff! I am very happy you don't. Let's keep it to you knowing what looks good on another woman and what doesn't.
